Warehouse Operative
ForwardVia, leading international parcel shopping and forwarding service, is hiring Warehouse Operative to join our team in Southampton.
We are looking for hardworking individuals to be a part of our busy and friendly team.
Position: Warehouse Operative

Location: Woolston, Southampton SO19 7GA
Working hours: Part-time 12:00 — 16:00 (negotiable) or full-time 8:30 — 16:00 Monday to Friday. Overtime is available during busy periods.
Salary: Up to £13/hour. Depending on experience

Responsibilities and duties
In this role you’ll join our small and friendly team where you will
- Receive and process packages with care and prepare them for export using our online system
- Pack, repack and consolidate goods, and arrange shipping to countries all over the world
- Carry out any other services offered to customers
- General warehouse housekeeping and duties
- Serve customers providing excellent customer service by solving their problem
- Manual handling of goods is intrinsic part of the role, hence the role require lifting and moving packages of all weights and sizes safely
Requirements
- You must be quick and comfortable with using computers. A competent user of the internet and online systems
- have good verbal and written communication skills
- have the ability to work effectively on your own and in a team
- have a flexible ‘can do’ approach to work
- take ownership of problems and see them through to resolution
- be organised, show good attention to detail
Any of the following would be an advantage
- Previous experience in a freight forwarding companies
- Warehouse experience
- Export experience in the courier and logistics industries
- Experience using Microsoft Office
